About The League City Proud Organization

The League City Proud Organization was founded in 1997 to promote community partnership, spirit, history and pride.  Holiday In the Park started over 25 years ago when founder Janice Hallisey wanted to provide a holiday event for League City families. Her heart wanted to provide a FREE event to her local community for children to experience the "Magic of the Holiday Season!". Holiday In the Park began December 5th, 1997 when the Budweiser Clydesdale Horses pranced down Main Street for the very first Grand Night Parade. Over the last 25 years the little League City Parade has turned into a three day festival with multiple parades, live entertainment and over 100 hundred shopping and dining options all nestled under the 100 year old Butler Oaks in League Park.

There will be two volunteer meetings and there is a signup link above.  Please check our Calendar Page for meeting dates and details.

Volunteers will be given a T-Shirt and are expected to wear it when working. Wear comfy clothes & shoes and most importantly, a smile.  Check in with the Holiday in the Park booth located on the main square area.  Be aware of your duties for the event you are volunteering for.  When you are finished with your event, please let the HITP booth know you are finished and leaving.

Wear your best smile and bring a holiday attitude!  Lots of walking so wear your favorite shoes that provide support.  Holiday in the Park t-shirts will be provided, if you don't have one already.

Check in at the Holiday in the Park booth located on the main square 30 minutes prior to the time of your event.
