Meet The League City Proud Organization Board Members

Founder 

Janice is the Founder of The League City Proud Organization, Holiday in the Park and has been Chairperson for 27 years. This organization and Holiday in the Park exist because of her dedication

Her favorite part of Holiday in the Park is seeing all the smiles and hearing all about the enjoyment everyone has at HIP over the 3 days of family fun! She also enjoys creating surprises for the grand night parade!. 

Ange has volunteered for Holiday in the Park for 23 years. She began as the emcee and has now been on the board  for about 10 years

She serves as the Co-Chairman of The League City Proud Organization with the illustrious Janice Hallisey.  The two of them, along with other board members, oversee all aspects of the three day festival and  head up the Grand Night Parade planning.

"There are so many things I love about the whole picturesque 'Hallmark Movie' quality of the weekend, and just walking through the park with the hustle and bustle under our beautiful oaks, especially once the sun sets and the lights come on in the park!! But of course I love the Grand Night Parade the most! I love all of the talented student performances and the beautiful dancing horses!!"

She spends most of her time doing some kind of community service, anything that enhances the lives of the citizens of League City, which is what drew her to Holiday in the Park! 

She just got married about a year and a half ago and her  and her pilot husband both work for Southwest Airlines. She has 4 beautiful grown daughters, one is actually on our committee, and  3 precious grandchildren, Jude, Carroll and Sawyer!

Sponsor Liaison

Penny started with The League City Proud Organization in 2017 when she was asked to be a judge. Her main role is in the VIP tent. She works to secure food, beverage and anything else for the comfort of our VIP volunteers and sponsors. 

Her favorite part of Holiday in the Park is all of it! All the people in the park, the decor, the lighting of the tree, the entertainers and the kids! "I don't think I have seen anything like other than what is in a movie". 

Penny came to League City as a child in 1974 and later in life moved back with her husband and daughter in 2006. Her and her husband own a commercial and residential brokerage, Brockway Reality and Brockway Commercial and now have Grand Oak Development. Her biggest hobby is bringing the Magic to Main Street! 

Secretary and VIP Tent Chairperson

Audra is in her 1st year as a LCPO Board Member but has been volunteering for the past 4 years. She also ensures the VIP judges tent for the parade each year is perfectly VIP and creates a comfortable setting for the esteemed judges to perform their duties while entertaining sponsors and donors alike.  

Her favorite part of Holiday in the Park is the planning and time the board spends together throughout the year creating a fun and magical 3-day event for the local community.

Audra was born in League City and has lived here most of her life. She is the Broker/Owner of CIVET Real Estate, a commercial brokerage real estate firm serving all areas of Texas. 

Vendor Chairperson

Kristi is in her 2nd year volunteering for The League City Proud Organization. Not only is she vendor chair but you will see her in the judges tent for the Grand Night Parade. 

Kristi's favorite part of Holiday in the Park weekend is the Hallmark feel. The three day event with movie in the park, vendor shopping, entertainment and community is truly magical. 

Kristi has been married to her husband, Brett, for 25 years. She has two children and loves to entertain, bake spend time with family /friends and support our local Houston Astros! 🧡
